What was the problem?
The homeowners had problems with the Chlorinated water in the town of Lincoln. It caused eczema, made skin itchy, caused problems with washing clothes. It created cleaning issues in the bathroom with calcium build-up in the shower and on shower glass. Lastly, the water tasted terrible and smelt awful.
What was the solution?
A HydroBoost unit was installed on the incoming town supply to the house. A local plumber took approximately 90 min to compete the installation. The HydroBoost unit was powered from an existing 240v power supply in the house.
What were the benefits?
Initially, our customers were a little sceptical, but started noticing the differences in the water within 4 days of the HydroBoost installation. The first sign was softer water when showering. Then the water taste changed – water was drinkable from the tap with less chlorine smell and taste. Ice cubes from the fridge tasted better – more like ‘water’.
When washing was hung out on the washing line, there were less ‘mark’s on the washing. As well, there was less cleaning inside the washing machine whereas previously, there was always a build-up. Skin irritations went away after 2 to 3 weeks with less moisturiser being needed. The lawn started greening up very quickly after being applied by the sprinkler.
The cost after one year was much lower than a neighbours filter solution and delivered benefits the filtered solution couldn’t.
