Horses enjoy the water and have cleaner troughs

Customers horses like blokes at a bar and water troughs don’t need as much cleaning using HydroBoost.

Looking for a solution to improve grass growth, one that was considerate of the environment and didn’t require additional chemicals or costly ongoing fees, the customer looked to HydroBoost to improve Grass Growth in their paddocks. A small unit was installed in their pump shed in November 2022. The system provided water to two irrigation sectors of the farm and provided water for the home, drinking water for the horses and customers vegetable garden.

After the HydroBoost unit was installed, it also changed the horse’s behaviour – in fact, “the horses are really funny now. They tend to hang out around the water troughs – like blokes at a bar”. Prior to the HydroBoost unit, they didn’t congregate there all the time. It’s now their ‘local’ and they appear to be drinking more. Since I am experiencing the joys of drinking water again and feeling energised, I feel the horses are also receiving the same benefits.

As a horse owner, it’s important that my animals are provided the best water that I can deliver. While it’s a little too early to tell yet, they seem to be in better health and the way they hang around the HydroBoosted water troughs indicates that on some level, they know the water is good for them.

Water Trough Cleaned
For me, another big benefit is not having to clean the water troughs every few days. With the amount of organic material dropped into the troughs, I had to clean them regularly. With four troughs being used regularly, the task became a chore. It was 20 min to 30min every few days – time that I could have spent on more productive activities. Now with the HydroBoost unit installed, the trough cleaning is now around every two weeks, so I am giving time back to myself, (which most farmers know is a huge plus).

Even though I purchased the Hydroboost unit to grow more grass, the way it cleans the water in the troughs, cleans my drinking water and turbo boosts my vegetable garden growth are huge benefits for me and my lifestyle business.

The HydroBoost unit is relatively simple to install and does not require any major engineering. From 32mm up to 80mm pipe size, (see the HydroBoost XL for sizes 100mm upwards) and runs on a 24v power supply from a 240v power socket.

While HydroBoost have not undertake any specific trials on the benefits to equine beasts or cleaning of water troughs, the anecdotal results indicate that using HydroBoost can improve stock health and provide water that reduces unwanted green algae build up in troughs.
