Floaties and Effluent Scum Dissolve within 4 weeks
This 2,500m2 effluent pond was clogged up with an Effluent crust. Within 4 weeks HydroBoost had dissolved half of it.
The Effluent pond in the Ashburton area of Canterbury started crusting up on October 2022. The manager of the farms takes great pride in ensuring all his farms are setting a high standard for growth, stock health and looking after the land. The pond was an anomaly in a highly professionally run operation.
HydoBoost suggested using one of their Green units to clean up the pond and gave a timeline of 10 weeks. The challenge was accepted and the HydroBoost team installed a floating unit on the 2nd March 2023.
Changes in the pond surface were observed within 7 days and within 21 days, over half of the ponds surface was crust free. As well, the second pond had reduced scum floating in it.
After 9 weeks, the pond surface was 95% clear. The only residue on the surface was the effluent residing on the bottom being brought to the surface.
This was achieved without the use of any chemicals and only used a single phase power supply to a 24vDC transformer (effectively very little electricity).
