Cleaning up Effluent
The HydroBoost technology is being used help cleaning effluent ponds by stimulating good bacteria to work harder. The energisation of the water component within the effluent mix stimulates the bacteria to breakdown the solids into solution. This means surface and subsurface effluent can dissolve without chemicals or additives.
As well, the HydroBoost technology has been shown to;
- Reduce the concentration of NPK levels – between 10 and 24%. A farmer deploying the same volume of effluent could have less N to leach through the soil profile
- Feedback is that deployment infrastructure is not always blocking up in the same way as pre HydroBoost
- Results indicate that solid buildup on the pond bottom are being loosened and put back into solution
- The technology only requires a single phase power supply or 24v DC
- Based on studies, we believe the HydroBoosted effluent could boost pasture growth than straight non-HydroBoosted effluent application
Other Examples
Here are other examples of where the HydroBoost technology is being used in cleaning effluent ponds;
- This 2,500m2 effluent pond was clogged up with an Effluent crust. Within 4 weeks HydroBoost had dissolved half of it.
- A new HydroBoost unit was installed in Feb and within 15 days, the scum and floaties had dissolved.
- A HydroBoost unit was installed and within 12 days, the crust had broken and dissolved – no chemicals using 240v.
- In this video, a HydroBoost Effluent unit has been installed on a 900m2 pond. In just over a week, it is already breaking up the sludge sitting at the bottom of the pond. No chemicals and only minuscule power requirement.
